Journalism students earn honors

Buffalo High School has a tradition of excellence in yearbook and journalism, and another chapter was added to that history this week.

Students from The Hoofprint newspaper and Tatanka Yearbook attended the Minnesota High School Press Association's fall conference at the University of Minnesota, and came home with multiple honors. 

* Halle Nichols and Lexi Zheng earned a Gold Medallion in the photojournalism category for a photo illustration.

* The Tatanka Yearbook retained its status as one of the premier publications in the state, taking second place Best of Show.

* The Hoofprint was seventh place Best of Show in the newspaper/news magazine category, and 10th place Best of Show for its website.
