Seven file for school board

Four seats are available in the Nov. 5 general election

A total of seven candidates have filed for four available seats on the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School Board.

The candidate filing period closed on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Those who filed for office included:

Adam Bjorklund
Candice Burns
Angela Greig
Michael Holmstrom Jr.
Mike Honsey
Amanda Lawrence
Tim Zbaracki

Incumbents Bjorklund and Lawrence are each finishing their first term on the board after winning seats in the 2020 election.

The other two available seats are currently held by Board Chair Melissa Brings and Director Sue Lee. They are the longest-serving members of the board, having joined in 2008 and 2006, respectively, but they are not seeking re-election this fall.
